For Fedra, our approach is to improve all areas associated with running athleticism. She arrived at the pro running seen as an older athlete who was able to consistently run 150 K+ (90+ miles) per week. She had run a 16:02 5000m on the track, qualifying for the Pan Am Games in 2019. Fedra had also run a 4:21 1500m and a 2:13 800m. We’ve enclosed an overview of our training approach, which may help some of our readers to understand how to develop a training plan based upon the athlete’s needs.

We track certain workouts throughout the year to compare fitness levels. Some workouts are impacted by altitude, excessive heat, humidity, or training load.
Fedra attacking a 10 x 600m workout at 7500’ altitude in February 2020. She averaged about 1:49 per rep, with a 1:40 jogging rest.
